How Flex Connect Works
There’s now a simple way to save energy and earn rewards automatically with Flex Connect. Flex Connect allows customers to adjust energy usage for their Samsung appliances, TVs, and other supported energy devices during peak demand. This helps balance the grid while reducing costs at home.
What’s more – Users will earn $50* in Samsung Rewards when devices participate.
How to Enroll in
Flex Connect
1.
Click on the Life tab and download the SmartThings Energy service in the app.
2.
Click on the Activity Tab, and scroll down to find the Flex Connect (DR) program.
3.
Enter your zip code and follow the steps to enroll.
4.
If your enrollment is approved, your connected devices will start saving energy when the grid is strained.

SmartThings makes it easy for users to earn rewards for connecting and monitoring devices in the app. Users collect Energy Stamps that convert into Samsung Rewards for using AI Energy Mode to automate energy savings.

After a user’s eligible devices participate in a DR event, Samsung Rewards, equivalent to $50 USD, are deposited into the user’s Samsung account when the user clicks on the tip card presented in the app. The user must have the DR Saver Card enabled on their participating devices in order to earn the rewards.
